“Oh yeah I update mine all the time. Especially when there’s a view of passing this legacy around, might as well keep a cookbook for the next lot.” Not that he wanted  that life for his possible children. Not that he would even wanted any children. Or if he would live long enough to even have children. Why the fuck am I suddenly thinking about tots? Well, he’s 26 years old. In a few years, settling down would actually be one of the things that he should consider. He glanced at Kate, briefly imagining, then shook his head as the thought scared him off. He hasn’t even said anything to the blond. There were no discussions that arose as their flame was ignited not long ago. Unlabeled.

“You don’t?” He asked, playing the jealous act with fail as she mentioned about sleeping around. But then his features were mildly twitched at the next lot of her words. “Oh. So you dated Sam.” He said flatly, matching her way of saying it, that as if it was of no concern.

“Hmm, passing the legacy down?” Kate inquired in an echo, her eyes growing sightly wider in surprise. Was this Landon’s way of saying he saw himself as a father in the future? For some reason, Kate had never pictures the man before her to want to have kids, especially because he seemed to captivated by his current profession. But then again, Landon remembered quite fondly what a miracle worker the hunter was with kids — why shouldn’t he have kids? They’d be very fortunate to have him. “You see mini Landon’s running around in your future?” She teased, giving him a playful push.

“I don’t.” Kate affirmed — which was true. Even after her arrival in Mystic Falls, despite having been a target for many eligible bachelors, including the Tyler Lockood, the huntress really hadn’t shown any interest in anyone … aside from Landon of course. There was something about the flatness in Landon’s tone causing Kate to arch an eyebrow. “Uh … yeah — I did. Only for like, little over half a year.” Kate confirmed once again, nodding her head slowly as a brief chuckle escaped her lips. “It wasn’t a huge deal, really.” She assured, shrugging.

“Uhumm.” He said with a twitch of an eyebrow. “Good. At least that’s sorted.” He said, kissing both her hands with a crooked grin on his face.

“Yeah, I did. Very briefly. Can’t even remember when. Should be on my journal.” He said at Kate’s inquiry about his meeting with the younger Winchester. “Good, they’re pretty great at the job, must say. I’d probably wanna work with them some time. We should have a foursome gig at some point, eh?” He suggested. Then he chuckled at her trivial remark about Dean, “Come to think of it. You might actually pass as the female version of Dean Winchester.” He said with a quirk of his eyebrow. Then he was slightly confused, “Why would it be weird?” He asked, genuinely uncertain why, especially after his claim of Kate and Dean’s resemblance.

“Oh fuck — am I really the only hunter that doesn’t update her journal?” Kate remarked, exasperated by the fact how obsessed people in the same line of werk as herself seemed to be with dabbling down their every thought, discovery and experience. “I feel like such a fraud.” She joked, smiling wryly. “They definitely are — born and raised hunters, just like me.” The blonde said somewhat proudly, perking up as she spoke. “A foursome gig, would be interesting.” Kate speculated, laughing lightly, wondering what it would be like for Sam to work with Landon — not that there was anything still going on between her and the youngest Winchester, but if Kate were to work with one of Landon’s ex-girlfriends, she’d probably feel somewhat terrtorial or intimated … even though she didn’t really feel comfortable saying that Landon was her boyfriend. The actual parameters of their relationship had never been discussed. It just … happened. “Female Dean Winchester, that’s classic.” Kate giggled, having heard that once or twice. “I don’t sleep around as much as Dean does though.” She assured him, softly patting his thigh. When Landon wondered aloud why Kate being family to the Winchesters would be weird, the blonde shrugged apathetically. “Well — you know, having dated Sam might make it a bit awkward.” She laughed, as if it were nothing.

It wasn’t easy, keeping oneself alive while hoping for the other (no matter where she was) to be the same. To go home and feel so fucking exhausted, and still unsure if she’s still kicking. And so such moments like her turning up in his apartment after a long strenuous day was probably one of the best ways to lift his spirits up. “No, no. I was about to hit the sack, alone and miserable.” He said with pursed lips at the last two words then broke into a smile as she sunk down the couch, and began her tale. “Twenty. The fuck.” He gasped in awe, actually thinking she ganked them all alone. Then he rubbed his forehead with a soft smirk at the mention of the Winchesters. “Ahhh. Yeah. I met Sam briefly before. Just a quick word. Dean, nah I haven’t seen him but the duo’s pretty famous in the business.” He affirmed at her query. “Of course they’ll be feisty which makes it all amazing. He widened his eyes at the bruises that she’s shown, grazing his fingers along her well-battered skin.

“Alone and miserable?” Kate echoed, a pout forming on her lips, the mental image of Landon curled up in bed by his lonesome self, feeling miserable making her feel a little sad — it was a good thing he was exaggerating. “Well, that doesn’t sound like a lot of fun.” The blonde murmured, shaking her head. “Good thing I came along when I did — perhaps your slumber will be not as alone and miserable as you envisioned.” The huntress mused, trying to hide that lopsided smirk which was very obviously apparent on her face. “You met Sam?” Kate echoed, laughing quietly, realizing she’d never told Landon about any of her ex-boyfriends. “It was great seeing the boys again — we made quite the trio back in the hay day.” Kate informed him, not at all regarding her romantic involvement with the youngest Winchester. “But yeah, we caused some mayhem alright. Dean joked about adopting me as their sister — might have been a little weird though.” Kate chuckled softly, realizing how close she’d once been to the boys.

He couldn’t help but smile, his rigid shoulders of weariness immediately melting at her tight hug. “I missed you too.” He said, planting a kiss on her blond head as she nuzzled on over his neck. “Oh really? Tell me more…” He said, playfully tilting his head, his tone jeering lightly as they both entered his apartment. He snorted as she folded her coat neatly, as if reading that meaningful smirk on her face. “Pretty hot bruises? Where? Where?” He questioned playfully as he teasingly traced his hands along her curves before closing his arms into a hug. “I’m tired.” He pouted, “And probably you are too?” He shrugged.

The blonde giggled, feeling Landon’s hands jokingly probe her body, in search for the bruises she claimed to have. “I’ll show you as I tell my story, Harper.” Kate informed him, grinning as she melted into his arms once more, lifting up her chin slightly and planting a kiss in his neck. “Exhausted is more like it.” Kate muttered, a genuine smile on her face — she was very pleased to be reunited with Landon again, both of them still alive and kicking. That was always a relief when dating a hunter. “Glad to be here though — I hope I’m not intruding or anything?” Kate asked, furrowing an eyebrow as she sunk down onto the couch. “I wiped out entire family of vampires — I’d say there were at least twenty of ‘em. Fucking nuts.” Kate began to tell in an animated way, a large grin apparent on her face. “Well, okay — I didn’t do it alone. Sam and Dean were there — you know the Winchesters, right?” The blonde inquired, somewhat indifferent about it as she carried on. “Slicing and dicing the suckers, it was amazing. They were pretty feisty though — not gonna lie.” Kate lifted up her shirt partially, revealing a few smaller bruises on her side.

Being separated for days seem to drive him insane sometimes but with their job, there  isn’t a choice but to endure all that. Landon just got home from his own trip, didn’t actually have the energy to pop in to Kate’s, as he considered that the blond huntress was also quite preoccupied with a gig of her own. He was exhausted, dumping the rest of his stuff on the floor, his neat freak self gone out of the window as he lazily slouched in his couch, with a bottle of beer. Just one then I’ll probably hit the sack. But then he was startled by the knock on his door, lazily lifting his ass off the couch to see his late night visitor. He opened the door wide with a mild scowl of exhaustion on his face, which immediately softened upon sight of those emerald eyes, piercing in the middle of the night. “Kate? Back so soon?”

The blonde beamed upon the sight of Landon standing in the doorway — he looked pretty tired, must’ve just gotten back from a gig himself she figured. Without a reply, she flung her arms around his neck, grinning while she hugged him tightly. “I  missed you.” She murmured, nuzzling her face into the nape of his neck, before retracting herself. “My gig was so fucking cool — you have no idea.” Kate said, biting down on her bottom lip as she entered Landon’s abode. “I’ve got a few pretty hot bruises too.” She let on, a mischievous smirk etched on her face, neatly hanging her coat and stowing away her dufflebag, knowing what a neat freak Landon was. “How’ve you been?” She asked, smiling.

The huntress had been slammed against the floor, pinned against walls and flung across rooms, The blonde huntress was returning home with quite a story to tell. Never before had Kate gotten such a high from the adrenaline coursing through her veins — this was one of the reasons the huntress loved her profession. It was unpredictable and kept her on her toes.

Wincing lightly at the bruises underneath her shirt, she knocked on Landon’s door, dying to see him after having been gone for a week and above all, she could hardly contain her excitement, wanting to fill him in on every single detail of her hunting trip.

vampirish-sage whispered, "[Text] That sounds so cool. I can't wait !"

Text: Neither can I. We should reward our newest recruits with maple syrup lemonade! Bring some :)

vampirish-sage whispered, "[Text] Maybe so ! Where?"

Text: Well, we could always hold it in the Grill.  They have a stage and everything. I might have to check with my boss - but I’m sure he’d be cool with it.

vampirish-sage whispered, "[Text] No ! No, of course not. Lets just say that we should save the best apartment for the last."

Text: Hah! In your dreams. Maybe we should hold the auditions on neutral grounds them?

vampirish-sage whispered, "[Text] Oh no. Wait. We could maybe arrange the auditions at your place?"

Text: Ooh, are you scared?!

kate saltzman the hunter

Niece of Alaric Saltzman, Kate was born into a family of hunters, mostly her mother’s side, who taught her all about hunting and how evil and dangerous supernatural creatures are. Kate deals with most people with a bit of caution, a lot of snark, and a desperate desire to prove herself capable and worthy of respect. She’s also really sarcastic, stubborn and loyal to people - especially her family, protecting them whatever it costs. Coming to Mystic Falls after hearing about original vampires and a powerful circle of witches, Kate is ready to take measures by her own hands, taking down every supernatural kind that comes across her, not knowing her uncle is in fact secretly dating a circle witch.
